Biography
Ewen Ross lives and works in the Wimmera. He grew up in this country and aims to manifest the changing nature of this landscape in his work. This region is affectionately known as the land of the big sky and it is from this viewpoint looking down and across, which inspires his sense of image making. Occasionally he refers to stories that occurred from times past but generally these images reflect the current state of this land.
He was a finalist in the 2008 Fleurieu Biennale and his works are included in collections such as Artbank, Horsham Regional Art Gallery, University of Ballarat Arts Academy, The Gough Collection and numerous private collections throughout Australia and Mexico.
