Geometricks

[Gallery 2] Now showing until 27 July 2013
The linear and geometric forms of my wall sculptures explore the timeless enigma of spatial illusion. Timber structures become Isometric drawings in space.

Immersed in materiality and process, my artworks transform everyday materials into architectonic inventions. They reference the mathematical systems that underlie both man-made and natural worlds but are manipulated to stretch the boundaries of logic and dance between illusion and reality.

Through an experiential point of entrance I pare away at forms in search of a concise visual language – an elegant solution.

Overarching my work is the notion of universal structure and the geometry that has informed our evolution from molecule to macro-system.
